Ryan Garcia vs Conor Benn - Post Fight Article

Ryan Garcia vs Conor Benn. Both men proved Saturday night the talent that they have, Garcia specifically, pure magic.

The American, Garcia, proved from the first round how dominant he was. He effectively worked Benn out quickly, and powerfully stopped him come round 2. Benn landed some decent punches in the first, but on becoming hurt in the 2nd, couldn't make it through.

Ryan Garcia's power was something I noted in my recent long form video (found in the Long Form section of my website), and I was proven right. Benn simply couldn't deal with his power. It was obvious from the first round that Benn wouldn't make it far.

Some may say the referee decision of stepping in before Benn got dropped a second time was bad, and should've continued. Truthfully speaking, I feel the ref's decision was correct. Benn was seriously hurt, and there was a very high chance he wouldn't have made it out the ring in a healthy manner, so I feel the Referee deserves the respect there.

What's next for Benn? Well I'm sure this isn't the end. Perhaps Benn can move back up in weight, where he has proven to be dominant and strong, such as the incredible fight against Chris Eubank Jr, both of them in fact.

Chris has come out on Twitter and Instagram, pushing Benn's buttons with messages, so perhaps a trilogy may be there if Benn is up for it... we will see.

So to finalize, And Still, your WBC Welterweight Champion of the World, Mr Ryan Garcia.
